News from Homabay Akado

Dear brothers and sisters and supporters, we are very grateful for the help we continue to receive from you.

We want to share with you the progress we are making in Homabay-Akado, but also the major challenges we continue to face.

Our children are now nearing the end of the 2025 school year. It ends on October 24.

We plan to be present as a team from Germany at the graduation ceremony this year. We also want to give sponsors who would like to have personal contact with a child the opportunity to include a personal letter for the child they are supporting. (Written in English only)

There’s also the opportunity to join us on a three-week mission trip. If you’re interested, please register by August 31, 2025.

The last few months have been very challenging, as heavy rains and violent thunderstorms flooded and severely damaged parts of the school building. Our vision and hope is to soon be able to build school buildings that offer a high level of stability and safety for the children. However, this still requires a few open hearts to support us and share this vision with us.

The water pump that supplies water to the school and local families was destroyed by lightning and had to be replaced.

The toddler house is progressing in small steps. The ground floor is now under construction.

The local government is constantly putting pressure on us to better equip the buildings, and the requirements are very strict.

The need in Kenya is still very high. It needs many open hearts and helpers who are willing to address this need.

Our team in Germany has already grown. You can see who’s now part of the team here on our website.

Waltraud and Joachim Fritz are our first missionary couple, representing our German team in Kenya for one month. (see photo)

We would also be happy to meet you in person and introduce you to our organization and our vision.
We welcome everyone who comes to us to become part of our mission.
